Hey guys, I've been trying to updating my PSP to 6.60 ME-2. I really haven't used my PSP in 2-3 years so I'm quite outdated. It looks like I'm having trouble with the version.txt. I downloaded a version.txt installer, but it was for newer firmwares.
While it installed a version.txt file it didn't work. I also tried another version.txt I found on a forum and had no luck.
Strange, if it work on 5.50GEN D3, it must work for prometheus 4. Well i've installed Prometheus-v3 from PSPHacks (it says 4 but it comes up as 3. Before explain that, try to update prometheu 4 with this attach packet. I was trying to get the Prometheus 4 patch now but everytime i download it they all.
It is enabled in recovery. Is there something I'm missing to make this easier? Or does anyone know how to edit the version.txt to make it work? Looking around it seems my best option at the moment is to downgrade to 5.00 M33 or go to 6.20 and install 6.20 TN-D. Not a big fan of HEN though so I figured going to 5.00 M33 made more sense. Edit Does anyone know how fast the memory stick read speed is?
I feel like upgrading but it seems like the cheapest option would be a micro sd card and a memory stick pro duo adapter. Since I play enough homebrew I figure I might as well get the fastest card that works. Thanks for the help guys.

Hi there guys i wanted to ask a simple question in regards to the game mentioned above. I'm currently running v.5.00M33-6 with Prometheus-4 for 5.00 M33-6 (on PSP-1000), does Lego Star Wars III work with the current firmware i'm running? I've tried running the full game and it doesn't work. Do i need to something fo rit to work under M33? But i have found a few places that said it works under PSP-1000 (5.50 GEN-D3).
Basically is there no chance in getting this game to run on 5.00M33-6? Do i have to upgrade to 5.50 GEN-D3 instead? Only reason i'm asking is that i've got use to M33 and not sure what's the best firmware to now go for (and trust) as there seems to be a few more other custom firmwares out there now? If anyone could help me out with this little problem it would be most appreciated.
Not sure what i'm doing wrong?? Well i've installed Prometheus-v3 from PSPHacks (it says 4 but it comes up as 3 when installed), then used the ISOTool but not sure if i'm doing it right. I have the iso on my memory card, copied all files from ISOTool file (for cfw) then done the following: - Patch Prometheus 3v3 - Patch Prometheus 3v4 - Patch Prometheus 4 - EBOOT decrypt and still the game doesn't work.
Keeps bringing up the error message: The game could not be started (80010002). Am i doing something wrong? I'm not a noob and understand what it's doing but am i doing it right? If you could help me a lil more would be appreciated. To tell ya the truth i might as well just update my cfw, but would like to know from you guys your opinion as to which one is better? I would like to have my iso's untouched (without patching) so to which firmware do i go for? As i would like to upgrade my nephews PSP as well (he has a slim) so preferably i would want a cfw that will work on both. Thanks FX EDIT: I'm running v.5.00M33-6 with prometheus 3/4 not sure (PSP-1000 Phat).
Which firmware can i upgrade from this one? Also read the post from Xen & brethren regarding the Custom Firmware 6.38 ME for PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 Models Released, interesting read guys sounds like i could upgrade my 5.00M33-6 to 6.38ME.
Would that be better? Your opinions are greatly welcomed.

Popstation: Don't Work (Need to disable it, otherwise Psx game don't run).
Psp 6.38 games: Work. Psx game Partially (Game like chrono cross or Xenogears and other that need id region changed and a specific popstation don't work anymore, because popsloader don't work anymore. Homebrew: Work I have tested only hombrew with 3.xx kernell. Maybe 1.50 hombrew don't work. Homebrews signed works. Savegame: Some work, someother no. All M33 savegame load perfectly, some problem from savegame with GEN.
Example, my Persona 3 savegame don't work anymore, savegame corrupted said me. Seems game patched for 5.50GEN savegame don't work anymore. If you had played game patched for 5.00M33, (maybe) all savegame work, also if you played with Gen. Or maybe depend from what 'umd iso mode' have you use to run and save the game!?! Psp game patched for 5.50 GEN: Work.
Psn eboot: Work. Video ISO: Work (Movie and Hentai). Retail game from umd: Work. I don't know why, but x button work like always as accept key, but in Home button (example for came out from a game, now is inverted).
